ninth and nineth
so ... 9th is spelled "ninth"
why is it not spelled "nineth"? "ninth" should sound so different ... sounds like some sort of outer-land from middle earth ...
the english language never truly makes sense.
according to Google, 310,000 spelled 9th wrong ... including information about the "Nineth Day of Christmas"
